THE PROCESS

  • Once we have received a completed request form from the referring service we will contact the owner to set up the appointment.

  • The complete pertinent history, blood work, and radiographs must be received by the VSCAN prior to the appointment for pre-anesthetic screening.     Once the study is completed the owner with be notified and a discharge time will be set.

  • The referring clinic will receive an email confirming that the study was performed and the patient has recovered from anesthesia.

  • The client will leave with a copy of the images on a CD to bring to their next appointment with the referring clinic.

  • Prior to leaving the client will be required to pay the VSCAN directly for the imaging study.

  • The VSCAN will email the radiologists report to the referring doctor within 24 business hours.

  • DICOM images of the study can be sent to the referring service via a cloud based viewing service or transferred directly to a PACS system or via Dropbox. CT and MRI studies cannot be sent as jpeg files.
